Thank you all for your support and efforts in the Library Levy Lift Measure.
As of last count on Friday afternoon, the Library Levy measure still leads 50.3 percent to 49.7 percent across its four-county territory.
A big thank you goes out to all of you. Countless hours were spent doorbelling, walking in parades, tabling at Farmers Market, helping make our commercials, helping with signs, wearing t-shirts, sign-waving, writing letters and much more. THANK YOU!
Campaigns are a team effort and so many of you came together.
The last order of business is collecting the hundreds of yard signs that were put up over the Fort Vancouver Region Library District. We are currently working on gathering them up to be stored. Please bring any signs that you see along the roadsides, yards, etc. to the former tennis courts (the fenced storage area) behind the Vancouver Community Library building and leave them by the gate on east side of the courts. We’ll store them on the tennis courts until we come up with permanent storage.
Thank you again for all of your support, hard work and encouragement. You have shown that 'Libraries Matter' and have helped ensure that they remain an important part of our communities.
